Connect in Claude

Claude Code: run these two commands in your terminal.

claude plugin marketplace add sanket-naik/usesignal-claude-plugin
claude plugin install usesignal@usesignal

claude.ai and Claude Desktop:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it useSignal and enter https://www.usesignal.dev/mcp. No authentication is needed.
  3. Enable useSignal in a chat and ask it to create a form, generate colors, or test regex.

Custom connectors may depend on your Claude plan. Once useSignal is listed in the Claude directory, you can add it from there instead.

Connect in ChatGPT

  1. Open Plugins, then Add → Create custom MCP server.
  2. Name the connection useSignal.
  3. Enter https://www.usesignal.dev/mcp and choose No authentication.
  4. Select useSignal in a new chat and ask it to create a form, generate colors, or test regex.

Menus and availability can vary by account. If ChatGPT requests Developer mode, follow the setting offered in your interface.

Exports and edits

Form edits update on leaving a field. Choose the export format, then Copy or Download. Clipboard and downloads depend on host permissions; copy the code directly if a control is blocked. HTML exports are scaffolds. React exports accept an optional onSubmit callback; you supply the backend.

Limits

Forms accept JSON objects up to 50 KB, 100 fields, and depth 8. Regex uses JavaScript syntax, a 500 ms runtime limit, and at most 500 matches. Color contrast checks cover the displayed text pairs, not your entire interface. JSON formatting and diffs accept up to 200,000 characters per document, and diffs list up to 500 changes. Encoding and hashing accept up to 100,000 characters. Cron previews list up to 20 runs within the next five years. Flowcharts use the first 100 nodes. JWT decoding does not verify signatures.
